Every now and then you fins a slab of wood that you just cant not buy - this piece started out as two long slabs, laminated together lenght-wise and the mitred at a 45. Tricky joints  but it allows this illusion of the grain continuing around the form. A hand-forged wrought iron base completes this kitchen island/ breakfast bar for four.
